Ethan is a Commercialisation intern, working alongside the Intellectual Property Commercialisation team at Wellington UniVentures.
What’s drawn him to commercialisation is the ability to be at the intersection between research and commercial impact. With a love for deep tech and an inquisitive mind, he feels WUV is the perfect place for him to start his scientific career and be at the forefront of innovation in Aotearoa.
He holds a BSC majoring in Biotechnology from Te Herenga Waka – Victoria University of Wellington. Previously worked with the R&D team at BioLumic. Whether its in the lab, at a desk or outside, Ethan strives to work in impactful roles. Most notably volunteering with Vanuatu Emergency Services Association after the 2024 earthquake.
Outside of work, you’ll find him at Biotech n Beers or across Wellington doing one of his myriad of hobbies.
