As our Legal Executive, Catherine provides vital and high quality coordination and legal administration support across a broad array of IP management.
Catherine a strong background in law and engineering. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from East China University of Science and Technology, which she followed up with a Masters in Law from Fudan University. She's currently completing on a Masters of Professional Business Analysis at Victoria University of Wellington.
Prior to joining Wellington UniVentures, Catherine interned at Jones Day, where she was responsible for supporting IP issues like patent prosecution and litigation processes, and King & Wood Mallesons where she focused on IP commercialisation.
Catherine loves working in the intersection of technology and law, where she can help researchers protect their inventions and turn them into practical innovations.
Outside of work, Catherine enjoys spending time with friends, Japanese anime and video games. She also enjoys travelling, and in particular exploring Aotearoa New Zealand's beautiful landscapes.
